October 2019 Newsletter

The Skotak-Brown Group wrapped up October with three closed transactions and  six pending sales. We also welcomed two new team members, Josh Bolinger and Cheryl Vilardi! We are excited to welcome them to the team.

The Naples housing market continued to show strong activity through September 2019. Overall closed home sales rose for the third month in a row. Showings were up 31 percent, which translated into a 13.7 percent increase in pending sales, and 698 closed sales during September 2019.

Pending sales in the Estero and Bonita Springs area are up 16% for single-family homes and condominiums combined. This area continues to be the ‘sweet spot’ between Naples and Ft. Myers. Opportunities for home affordability are greater in the Estero and Bonita Springs area than some of our surrounding areas and that is attracting new home buyers and businesses alike.

September had a 6-month supply of inventory. “Inventory levels are always low in September,” said Brittany Skotak. “You’re going to see those homes that were pulled off the MLS on the market again in the next few months, but buyers who don’t have options now are not waiting for more homes to come onto the market. Instead, they are simply buying homes in other areas or communities.” Buyers are ready to get into a home now, especially before the holidays.

With a steady buyer pool, now is the time to list your home to meet this demand.  We have a strong need for more listing inventory, so if you are considering selling your home, please contact our experienced team for a complimentary market analysis.
